Give us your elevator pitch.
Hi my name is Susanna Gooch and I am uniquely qualified.
Since attaining a Bachelor of Arts in Performance/Speech and Journalism at Wagner College, I have found unique career opportunities that have allowed me to foster my public speaking and writing skills, enhance my knowledge of market trends, develop my ability to problem solve, build long-lasting partnerships, and utilize my passion for the expressive arts successfully. My diverse background in roles that balance tactile and innovative methods with real world application has prepared me to define my stake in communications. I am ready to take on the next challenge to bolster my talents and ensure my confidence in best practices moving forward.
What is a current newsworthy event that stuck with you?
The teacher shortage, literacy levels, and high crime rate that have been dissuading positive education reform since the Coronavirus began. It is imperative for the future of our education system and for teachers and staff to be supported efficiently fiscally and legislatively so the focus can become proactive rather than reactive.
What one course are you most looking forward to, and what one course are you least looking forward to?
One course I am looking forward to the most is persuasion. I believe that the art of persuasion is the cornerstone of any creative endeavor. I look forward to deepening research and understanding in the practices that create change for the better. I believe each course will be necessary to my ability to negotiate.
What color is your brain?
My brain is the color of indigo. A dichotomy of two great eternal primaries mixed into one incomparable force. The deep reds of indigo represent my passion for the things I put my mind to, my creative side, and the intellectual deep dives that are necessary in unveiling the truth. The bright blues represent the compassion I have for the simple things in life and how celebrating them from a childlike perspective brings an inner peace and sincere appreciation. When these two worlds collide the color is vibrant but only with precision can the two be balanced to captivate the eye and intensify the understanding.
Thinking about your career, where do you imagine yourself in five years?
I see myself in a leadership position where I am working closely with a small group of creative individuals on projects that support lifelong learning and collaborative growth.
